These days it seems that the government is wanting so much to listen to the conversations that we are having. I know that is good to have them do it for the nations security but all in all they could also be using it to listening to random connversations.Sometimes I think that if we would have never got into this war if some things would have never happend, such as wire tapping. But with bush at the head of everything we went to war. So now we have to put up with the government listening to out conversations.
Im glad to hear that not everyone wants to have it since it took a 69 to 28 vote to be able to approve it. But it still concerns me. It always because what if your talking to friend and then say something about a bombing or something like that and then have police or something come in to my drive way. That would scare the S**t out of me.
The types of things that the government are doing are kind of rediculous in order to "protect us". A great example of something rediculous is not allowing us bring a regular un-opened tube of tooth past on a plane for a 30 min flight.
Bush is making the us safer but by allowing wiretapping to take place he is also not givving us our privacy anymore. There is not much we can have when were talking on the phone or on the internet or tv (i think), and its helping but hurting the economy at the same time.
